Neil Sedaka was an American singer, songwriter and pianist whose career spanned over six decades. He scored major hits in the 1950s and 60s, including “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do,” before making a comeback in the 1970s with “Laughter in the Rain.” He wrote or co-wrote over 500 songs.
