A-ha is a Norwegian synth-pop band formed in Oslo in 1982 by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, Magne Furuholmen, and Morten Harket. They rose to international fame during the mid-1980s, primarily known for their iconic hit “Take on Me” and its innovative rotoscoped music video that won MTV VMAs.
