Arthur Conley was an American soul singer best known for his 1967 smash hit “Sweet Soul Music”. Co-written with Otis Redding, the song became a soul classic, reaching number two on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the R&B charts. He later performed under the name Lee Roberts in Europe.
