Bronski Beat
Bronski Beat was a British synth-pop band formed in 1983. Featuring singer Jimmy Somerville, they were known for hits like “Smalltown Boy” and “Why?” which addressed LGBTQ+ issues. Somerville was later replaced by other vocalists, but the group remained a staple of the 80s electronic scene.
