The Tempos
The Tempos were a Pittsburgh vocal group who first recorded “See You in September” in 1959. Their version reached number 23 in the US and 16 in Canada. While the Happenings later had a bigger hit with the song, the Tempos’ original remains a classic of early vocal harmony pop.
