Alexander O’Neal is an American R&B singer who rose to fame in the mid-1980s. He scored eleven top 40 US R&B hits but found even greater mainstream success in the UK. Between 1985 and 1996, he achieved fourteen top 40 UK singles and three top ten albums, including the classic Hearsay.
