The Big Bopper was a legendary American rock and roll pioneer and DJ. He is immortalized by his 1958 smash hit “Chantilly Lace.” Though his life was tragically cut short in the same plane crash as Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens, his voice and energetic style left a permanent mark on early rock music.
