Carl Perkins was an American rockabilly pioneer who began his career at Sun Studio in 1954. He is best known for writing and recording the rock and roll classic “Blue Suede Shoes”. A huge influence on the Beatles and Elvis Presley, he is regarded as one of the architects of the genre.
