Alphaville is a German synth-pop band formed in 1982. They achieved global fame in the 1980s with enduring hits like “Big in Japan” and “Forever Young”. Singer Marian Gold is the sole constant member of the group, which took its name from the 1965 Jean-Luc Godard film of the same name.
