Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass
Led by trumpeter Herb Alpert, this group dominated the 1960s with a suave “Ameriachi” sound—a mix of jazz, pop, and Mexican mariachi. They famously outsold The Beatles in 1966 and earned multiple Grammys for hits like “A Taste of Honey” and “The Lonely Bull.” Alpert later co-founded A&M Records.
