Franke and the Knockouts was an American pop-rock band formed in New Jersey. Led by Franke Previte, they are best known for the 1981 hit “Sweetheart.” Previte later gained massive fame as a songwriter, co-penning the hits “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” and “Hungry Eyes” for Dirty Dancing.
