Andrew Gold was an American multi-instrumentalist and producer who helped define the 70s Los Angeles pop sound. He had solo hits with “Lonely Boy” and “Thank You for Being a Friend,” and found UK success with “Never Let Her Slip Away” and as part of the duo Wax with Graham Gouldman.
